Auscultation Trainer and Smartscope™

Skills

• Manikin presents itself as a real patient without visible auscultation sites
• Excellent for group instruction, range on unit is up to 30 metres of remote access
• Student must palpate to identify correct auscultation locations and will hear different heart and lung sounds as the Smartscope™ is moved to different locations on manikin
• A diagnosis of condition selected by the instructor can be made by comparing the variations in sounds occurring at different sites – just like with a real patient
• Lung sounds can be detected on posterior surface and students can practice auscultation at seven anterior heart sites, heart sounds for each condition will change as the student moves from site to site
