Features

The Child Injectable Training Arm is an exact anatomical reproduction of a 5-year-old child’s arm for practising venepuncture and intramuscular injection techniques used in young children. Vinyl skin and latex veins replicate the paediatric palpation experience: the skin rolls as the vein is palpated, and a characteristic pop is felt as the needle penetrates. Realistic blood flashback confirms correct placement from the pressurised system. Smaller lumen tubing simulates the reduced size of a child’s veins for a more accurate training experience.

The arm articulates at the biceps for easy access to the antecubital fossa and dorsal hand, and a bony landmark at the shoulder supports correct site identification for intramuscular injection training. The arm attaches to the left shoulder of the Basic Child CRiSis Trainer Torso (AN3633). Replacement skin and vein kit available separately (AN3629).
