Features

The Paediatric Caudal Injection Simulator represents a 12 month old infant in the left lateral decubitus position with neck and knees flexed. Retaining all the functions of the Paediatric Lumbar Puncture Simulator (AN1000), it also features an anatomically correct coccyx with sacral hiatus for realistic caudal injection training, enabling two procedures to be practised on a single model.

The embedded iliac crest provides exceptional realism for landmark palpation. The removable spine and tactilely accurate spinal canal support realistic needle advancement, and two interchangeable skin pads are included: one transparent for preliminary anatomical study, and one opaque for more advanced hands-on training. Fluid flow provides immediate feedback on correct needle placement for both procedures. The simulator arrives mounted to a board for stability during practice.
