AR251/AR251-B Venepuncture, Cannulation, Infusion & Injection Arm

How many times can you puncture the arm before replacing the skin and veins?

The number of punctures the arm can withstand depends on usage and the size of the needle. For best results, only 21-gauge or smaller cannulae and needles should be used during practice. Larger needles may cause the skin and veins to deteriorate more quickly. To extend the life of the model, vary the injection sites across the arm rather than puncturing the same area repeatedly.

Does the model contain latex?

The AR251 contains latex veins. Customers with latex sensitivity or allergy should take this into consideration when handling or using the product.

Can the model be reskinned and re-veined?

You can purchase a Skin and Vein set for an Adam,Rouilly arm and replace it yourself, or if you send us your arms, we can reskin and re-vein them for you. Purchase the kit from us and we will provide the reskinning and re-veining service free of charge, you just need to cover carriage and packaging.

Are the Arms available in different skin tones

Yes. Adam,Rouilly arms are available in two skin tones – Light and Dark – both of which are equally popular with customers. Offering a choice of skin tones ensures inclusivity and allows for more realistic training experiences.

AR312 Episiotomy Suturing/Perineal Repair Trainer

How many times can you use the AR312 before it needs replacing?

The lifespan of the AR312 trainer depends on how it is used and cared for. To maximise durability, sutures should be removed after each training session, as leaving them in place can cause the skin to tear and shorten the model’s useful life.

Is the insert replaceable?

The insert is not replaceable. For enhanced realism, this product is made from a lifelike material with limited a life span. This product is not covered by Adam,Rouilly’s standard 2 Year Guarantee as the useful life of the product is determined by individual customer use.

Is the model made from sustainable or recyclable material?

The model’s plastic outer case is made from fully recyclable material. This ensures durability for training while supporting environmentally responsible disposal at the end of its lifespan.

AR90 CorMan® – Adult Nasogastric/Nasojejunal Feeding Trainer

How much fluid can the trainer hold?

The trainer can hold up to 60 ml of fluid in the stomach. This capacity is designed to support realistic practice scenarios while ensuring safe and effective use of the model during clinical skills training.

What type of fluid can be used with the model?

We recommend using a lemon juice water solution with the model for pH testing. This solution is safe, easy to prepare, and helps protect the model from damage while ensuring realistic performance during training and simulation exercises.

Do you supply feeding tubes with the model?

Size 10 Fr Nasogastric Tubes with Guidewire, Size 12 Fr Ryles and Size 16 Fr Gastrostomy devices should be used with this model. Feeding tubes are not supplied with the trainer as local policies determine the type of device to be used with the trainer. For optimum performance feeding tubes with guidewires are recommended.

AR70 Digital Cricoid Pressure Trainer®

Can I print or save the feedback graph after using the AR70?

The AR70 does not include a built-in print or save function for feedback graphs. However, users can capture their results by taking a photo of the display as a practical workaround.

AN1095 Blood Pressure Simulator

Can I print or save the feedback graph after using the AR70?

To calibrate the simulator, first set up the unit and apply the cuff to the arm. Adjust the control box to 150 mmHg systolic and 70 mmHg diastolic, then take a simulated blood pressure reading. Compare the reading to the control box and set the systolic and diastolic offsets accordingly using the calibration function. Once both values are corrected, press Menu and the display will confirm “CALIBRATION COMPLETE.” For full step-by-step instructions, please refer to the product manual.

Ultrasound Models

BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks

How many times can the BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks be punctured?

The number of punctures depends on usage, but durability can be maximised by following correct practice. Always use new 23G or smaller needles with this product and vary puncture sites across the block to help extend its lifespan while maintaining realistic ultrasound imaging for training.

How effective are the self-healing capabilities of the BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks?

The BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks feature excellent self-healing properties. Track marks and indentations typically close very well. This helps extend their usability and maintain realistic ultrasound performance over repeated practice sessions.

What needle size is recommended for the BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks?

We recommend using new 23G or smaller needles with the BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks. Using larger needles will reduce durability and affect the self-healing properties of the material.

What material are the blocks made of?

Our blocks are made from highly echogenic material, specifically designed to enhance ultrasound imaging. This means they reflect sound waves more effectively, providing clear, detailed, and realistic visualisation during training or clinical practice. The durable, medical-grade material ensures long-lasting use and reliable performance.

Are the blocks latex-free?

The BIOTME Ultrasound Blocks feature excellent self-healing properties. Track marks and indentations typically close very well. This helps extend their usability and maintain realistic ultrasound performance over repeated practice sessions.

What ultrasound machines are the blocks compatible with?

Our blocks are compatible with most ultrasound machines, including both portable and stationary models. They are designed to work seamlessly across different frequencies and probe types, ensuring consistent imaging quality for training, practice, and demonstration purposes.

Do you offer any paediatric blocks?

Paediatric blocks are not currently available, but they are in development. Our upcoming design will aim to provide realistic, safe, and highly echogenic training solutions specifically tailored for paediatric ultrasound practice. Stay tuned for updates on availability.
