Culture, co-production and creativity in simulation – preparing for ASPiH 2025

In just under a month, the Adam,Rouilly team will head down to Bournemouth to join with industry peers, medical professionals, students, and education suppliers at one of Europe’s leading simulation events.

Taking place from November 11-13, ASPiH 2025 will focus on ‘Simulation for Impact: Culture, Co-production and Creativity’, exploring the transformative potential of simulation-based healthcare education.

This theme aligns perfectly with our own mission and values here at Adam,Rouilly, which is why we’re delighted to be Gold Sponsors of this year’s conference.

As Ruban Dhinsa from our UK Business Development team explains: “Events like ASPiH highlight that we’re more than just a supplier. Being there shows that we’re engaged and invested in the community, and that face-to-face contact keeps us front of mind when people go back to their institutions.

“On a personal level, it’s inspiring to see the passion for improving education and patient care; it reminds me why our work matters.”

As the team prepares for ASPiH 2025 (you can read their thoughts on what they’re most excited about here), we thought we’d take a look at the key conference themes, and the work we’re already doing to further the transformative simulation agenda.

Culture: Empowering through diversity and inclusion

We’re deeply passionate about cultural diversity in medical education. In simulation, representation matters. Training tools and materials must reflect the diverse populations that healthcare professionals serve and this is a primary consideration when we’re designing and selecting our ranges.

Co-production: Designed with you, not just for you

True innovation comes from listening and meaningful collaboration. That’s why we work in close collaboration with clinicians, educators and simulation technicians at the earliest stages of product development, especially when designing our new task trainers.

Every product we offer is selected or developed with real-world needs in mind, ensuring it delivers value and ease of use in the environments where it matters most.

For example, our recently-improved Debra Enhanced model, the Hungry Manikin Paediatric Nasogastric Feeding Trainer and our popular Glucohand Model, were all developed in close partnership with clinicians to meet a specific training need.

Creativity: Flexible solutions for hybrid learning

Modern simulation education demands flexibility. Learning tools need to be designed to support creative teaching approaches regardless of the setting or budget.

Whether educators are building immersive simulation suites, running skills stations, or adapting to hybrid models, our train-to-task models provide the versatility needed for realistic and effective teaching.

Our recently introduced SimClever™ range is a good example of a creative approach, as it transforms existing manikins, task trainers, or standardised patients into mid-fidelity learning experiences without the cost of high-fidelity alternatives. The modular, portable system can easily be used in a variety of settings.

Maximising budgets for medical education

Adam,Rouilly Director of Sales and Marketing, Tariq Shahab, will be attending ASPiH for the sixth time and is looking forward to helping medical educators get the most out of their budgets.

He said: “With limited budgets and increasing demands on their time, medical educators face the challenge of delivering high-quality training while ensuring resources remain cost-effective and durable. At Adam,Rouilly, we understand these pressures and pride ourselves on providing both exceptional service and quality products, built on over 100 years of experience in the healthcare sector.

“To help overcome these challenges, we carefully select and manufacture products designed for realism, durability, and long-term value. Our comprehensive after-sales service, including repairs and refurbishments, helps maximise the lifespan of manikins and models, giving educators confidence in their investment.

“We also recognise that choosing the right products can feel daunting. That’s why our dedicated sales team is always available to offer personalised guidance, whether by phone, email, or in person, so educators can make informed decisions that best support their teaching needs.”

We’ll be taking a variety of our products with us to demonstrate at ASPiH and we’d love you to pop along and say hello to the Team if you’re attending.

Otherwise, our Sales Team is always on hand to answer any questions about how you can make the most out of your funding for medical education.
